While on my way to lunch, I decided to stop by here which is about a 5 minutes walk from my office. This is within the vicinity of Singapore General Hospital which I'm working at. Paying my respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the founding "father" of modern Singapore and it's first Prime Minister. Singapore will turn 50 years old on August 9th. Within that short period of 50 years of gaining independence from British rule, Singapore was transformed from a backwater, laid-back British colony into a thriving, modern and economic powerhouse. Love him or hate him, one thing that every Singaporean will agree is that he was instrumental into making what Singapore it is today.
And for that, I would sincerely say THANK YOU! to the late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew. A truly exceptional leader and visionary of the 20th & 21st century. You've work all your life to make Singapore a peaceful & a safe place to live in and with the most low crime rate country in Asia. Rest In Peace sir.
