Under the afternoon sun when this shot was taken. Even though the sky was almost like a big "white curtain", the ambient light from that huge "spotlight", the sun, it was still a harsh light. So to combat that natural "lightsource" and to give me a fighting chance to used any aritficial light so as not to make the sky looked like a total whiteout, I used 3 speedlights just to get some details from those sporadic puffy clouds in the distant horizon. Two of the speedlights are from Nikon and a sole Vivitar 285HV.
Strobist info: 1x SB-24 and SB-28 @ 1/2 power together on one lightstand with white shoot through brollie on model right.
1x Vivitar 285 HV @ full power with silver reflective brollie at model left.
And I simply love the end result!.
